Overview

Tsdiríhamwà Se was founded durring the early 11th century, by Mundis Lewis. The establishment of Tsdiríhamwà Se was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Mundis Lewis struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Tsdiríhamwà Se as a prison colony.

Tsdiríhamwà Se was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the early 11th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Tsdiríhamwà Se is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature delicute timber framework hidden behind layer upon layer of finly ground plaster bleached to an almost glossy white sheen, with green clay tiled roofs and decorative brass-leafed trim. Even the smallest, poorest looking structures appear to be expencive thanks to the extreem elegence of the organic shapes and paterns going into their lofty, spire-y, vagly gothic designs. The more well off folks live in identicle homes, save for even shiner trim and a more whimsical appearance to their structures flowing forms.

Tsdiríhamwà Se is buildings are arranged arround a network of premissive cobblestone streets which form a grid, where each square verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller square has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The town rests behind a thick wall made from clay bricks. The wall has all of the proper fortifications and is well made. Unfortuantly the nature of clay brick leaves it quite vulnerable to siege equipment, though the thickness of the wall lends it simmilar resistnace to a thinner hardrock wall. The millitarily questionable fortifications have not been wellmaintained over the years, and while functional are in dire need of some loving care and perhapse light renovation.

Tsdiríhamwà Se has the unmistakable air of a town on its last legs. Everything is a bit slipshod and ramshackle. Everyone is at work, or drinking. No one has anything in their eyes other than fear and despair. Whatever industry once fueled Tsdiríhamwà Se ’s existence has dried up and the town is drifting down the stream of history as it dries up. The locals seem to have responded to their slow downfall by recreating Tsdiríhamwà Se as one of the strictest places imaginable. Everyone’s actions are clearly directed by laws they keep in heart and mind at all times. Orderly byond order is a phrase which the town brings to mind.

Cultural Notes

Tsdiríhamwà Se's bank was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by dynamic designs and complex architectural plan forms; intended to heighten feelings of motion and sensuality, and frequently based on the oval. It made extensive and extreme use of: Grandeur, Contrast, Curves and twists, Rich surface treatments, Gilded statuary, Bright colors, Vividly painted ceilings, Fragmented or deliberately incomplete elements, Large-scale frescoes, Dramatic central projections on an external facade, the use of plaster, stucco, or marble finishing, Illusory effects such as trompe l’oeil, and pear-shaped domes. While beloved by the nobility, the common folk tended to despise the style due to the massive consumption of resources required for even a small building constructed in this style.

In Tsdiríhamwà Se snow is warm to the touch and does not melt within city limits. Also it only happens during summer.

The Leshy, Gourd near Tsdiríhamwà Se are known to be more aggressive than normal.

Tsdiríhamwà Se's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in winter and involves gestures to channel Wild Magic energies of tier 1 via mimery.

History

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century, Tsdiríhamwà Se was attacked by a renegade group of the army. The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Tsdiríhamwà Se lost 238 people, 264 livestock, and 64 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 69, when members of Tsdiríhamwà Se's militia enacted an operation to transport a specific artifact to a particular fortification unharmed. The operation was complicated by one of the key objectives in the operation requiring sticking to a very strict and short time table. The conflict ended with needing to break through the enemy's lines, which ended in defeat for Tsdiríhamwà Se's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Tsdiríhamwà Se's bards, historians, and legend keepers.
